Symptoms of bacterial vaginosis often include foul-smelling, white or gray discharge – sometimes combined with itching or a sense of imbalance in the intimate area.

The foundation of a healthy intimate area is a stable bacterial flora rich in lactic acid bacteria (lactobacilli) and a naturally low pH value, typically between 3.5 and 4.5. In bacterial vaginosis, the protective amount of lactobacilli has decreased, while the amount of other bacteria has increased. This leads to a higher pH value, creating an environment where harmful bacteria thrive.

LactiCUR contains natural lactobacilli that help restore balance in the intimate area. By lowering the pH value, a favorable environment is created for the good bacteria, while harmful bacteria are counteracted. The result is an intimate area with a balanced bacterial flora and better protection against infections – completely free from hormones or unnecessary additives.

LactiCUR is easy to use at home and comes in convenient single-use tubes. For best results, follow the instructions carefully and adjust use depending on whether you’re treating an existing case of bacterial vaginosis or using it preventively.

How to use LactiCUR

Apply the gel directly into the vagina using the tube. For best results, it’s recommended to use the product at bedtime, as some of the gel may leak out afterward. Feel free to use a panty liner if you’d like. Do not use tubes that are damaged or leaking.

1. Twist off and remove the cap from the tube.
2. Insert the entire tube neck into the vagina.
3. Squeeze out the contents while maintaining even pressure as you withdraw the tube.
4. The tube is for single use and should be used immediately after opening.

Dosage of LactiCUR

For treating existing bacterial vaginosis:

• 1 tube per day for 7 days.

For preventive use against bacterial vaginosis:

• 1 tube per day for 2–3 days after menstruation.

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding

LactiCUR can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Consult a midwife or doctor if you’re unsure.

When not to use

Do I need a diagnosis from a midwife or gynecologist before using the product?

If you recognize the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis – such as foul-smelling discharge and imbalance – you can use LactiCUR on your own. If you’re unsure, it’s always a good idea to consult a midwife or gynecologist to rule out other types of intimate infections.

Why is contacting a doctor recommended for breastfeeding but not pregnancy?

There are no known risks associated with using LactiCUR while breastfeeding, but since no specific studies have been conducted on breastfeeding women, we recommend consulting a doctor. The product contains lactic acid – a substance that occurs naturally in the vagina – and is generally considered safe.

Is it normal to experience stinging or itching after use?

Some irritation may occur, especially if the mucous membranes are dry or if you have a yeast infection. This is usually temporary and a sign that the product is starting to rehydrate and help restore balance. If the symptoms don’t subside within a few days, you should contact a midwife or gynecologist.

Is LactiCUR vegan?

Yes, the product is free from animal-derived ingredients and can be used by vegans.
